Who's buying the Mac Pro?

Seems like few actually need Apple's most expensive computer.

The new Mac Pro sits atop Apple’s lineup of computers, but it’s an odd-duck machine.

It runs the exact same processor as the new Mac Studio, but costs thousands of dollars more.

That extra expense is for PCI expansion slots, so users can add extra video cards, storage and more to the machine. But does anyone really want to spend the extra money, when plugging in an external drive often will suffice?

A new report found that there may not be many customers for the top-of-the-line Mac.
