Remember when Ghostbusters fans said their childhoods were ruined by the all-female franchise reboot a couple of years ago?
I always roll my eyes when fans complain about new versions of beloved properties.
Well, now it’s my turn!
Coming this summer to Apple TV+ is a comedy-adventure series based on Time Bandits, the imaginative and amusing 1981 film about a young boy who joins a crew of time-hopping thieves.
OK, so far, so good: A series based on one of my favorite movies might not be so bad. But unfortunately, the Apple TV+ reboot stars Lisa Kudrow — who I cannot stand — and is overseen by writer and director Taika Waititi — who I also hate.
So yes, if I watch even a few minutes of this show, I’m sure it’ll tarnish my fond memories of the original 😉.
