Apple’s first foldable iPhone is just a couple of months away.
A foldable phone is novel for Apple, but it’s not creating an entirely new category. Samsung, Honor, Oppo, and others have already been there.
This raises the bar for Apple. The iPhone Fold needs to blow the others out of the water to justify Apple’s late entry. Great hardware alone won’t cut it; iOS 27 must fully embrace the foldable form factor, or it risks feeling like just another iPhone that happens to bend.
Price makes the challenge even steeper. At a rumored $2,500, Apple isn’t just competing with other foldables—it has to deliver something truly different.
But Apple has a reputation for arriving late and redefining everything that went before.
We’re optimistic, based on the leaks and rumors, but there are still some big unanswered questions.

This sounds pretty incredible. A startup claims it got a server-level AI model running on an iPhone 17 Pro — and Apple is talking to them.
I think ChatPlayground AI is really interesting. It offers lifetime access to dozens of the top AI models for one payment of $60. Seems like a great way to check them all out.
We had a couple of really good reviews this week. First up is a great Bluetooth speaker from two of the biggest names in speakers: Fender and Teufel. Our reviewer loves it. We also reviewed a beefy 15-in-one USB-C dock/charging station that comes in a single, compact package.
Enjoy your weekend!
