Wait. What? Studio Display runs iOS 15.
Over the years, Apple has been great at extending its operating systems into new and interesting places.
Mac OS X, which powered its computers, became iOS, which was called upon to run the iPhone, then the iPad.
iOS was then adapted to run the Apple Watch, and also HomePods.
Now it's been marshaled to run the new Studio Display, powering things like "Hey Siri" and spatial audio.
Amazingly, the new screen runs the same full version of iOS on current iPhones.
But alas, the screen can't be used as a giant touchscreen device -- at least, not yet!

Apple’s new Studio Display is incredibly impressive in more ways than one. And while some early reviews note that other excellent monitors are available for less, there are some things that make Studio Display completely unique. Not only is it powered by an A13 Bionic chip, for instance, but Studio Display runs iOS 15.4. No, not a watered-down version of it, but exactly the same iOS 15.4 build that you have installed on your iPhone and iPad. You just can’t use it.

The Targus Antimicrobial Active Stylus for iPad resists up to 99.9% of bacterial growth for the life of the product. That’s one less thing to worry about while you’re taking notes or sketching on your tablet.
The new computer comes with a small hole on its base where a lock can be fitted, but it seems there’s not enough room for a standard Kensington option.
Small, lightweight laptops don’t always have all the ports you need. So it’s a good thing StarTech.com released its TB4CDock, a worthy docking station for Mac and Windows.
There’s nothing like taking your work outside on a nice day, especially if it’s a Friday — if you live somewhere that allows it, weather-wise. The sounds of the birds. The feel of the breeze. The smell of exhaust fumes from nearby traffic. But sometimes it’s not about half-playing hooky while working on your tan and pretending to work. Today’s featured setup, looking quite complete and perfectly productive, was driven out of the house by renovations.

"But I think the things you most regret in life are things you didn't do. What you really regret was never asking that girl to dance. In business, if I knew earlier what I know now, I'd have probably done some things a lot better than I did, but I also would've probably done some other things a lot worse. But so what? It's more important to be engaged in the present." -- Steve Jobs
