Wait or don't wait?

No, we’re not schizophrenic — but it might look that way!

A few days ago, we published a piece about why you shouldn’t wait for the upcoming MacBook Pro with an M6 chip.

The just-released M5 MacBook Pros are wonderful machines, we argued, and available now.

Besides, waiting for an unreleased, untested machine risks disappointment. It might be a long wait. Base models might not get the best new features. And then there’s price — the M6 MacBook is likely going to come with new “Ultra” branding and concomitant pricing.

So here’s the counterargument: four good reasons why you should wait for the M6 machine.

I’m not sure where I personally stand! Yeah, I know this is hopelessly wishy-washy, but there are good arguments for both camps.

However, perhaps this will sway you: There are three good reasons not to wait, but four good reasons why you should.

I’m not a huge fan of the iPhone’s haptic keyboard, but then again, my texts and emails are riddled with typos and spelling mistakes. Perhaps I should improve my iPhone typing by turning it on.
On the other hand, maybe I should get this new folding keyboard that fits in your pocket. I’ve really got a soft spot for gadgets like this.
In the past, we’ve described portable monitors as game changers for mobile work. Espresso Displays makes beautiful monitors, but they’re not always the cheapest. The company’s new 15-inch portable monitor attempts to rectify that with lower pricing, and in our hands-on review, we find it delivers.
