Vision Pro: Up close and very personal

Apple's new headset really will blow your mind.

Well, that didn’t take long. Apple launched Vision Pro last Friday, and already folks are walking down city streets and even driving cars while wearing the headsets. Sure, they’re probably mostly “influencers” looking for views, but it’s still wild to see.

iFixit didn’t waste any time ripping apart Apple’s new $3,500 face computer, either. The teardown shows the Vision Pro’s remarkably sophisticated hardware, which is pretty mind-blowing all on its own.

And if you want something a little less concerned with nuts, bolts, screwdrivers and spudgers, check out our own Vision Pro unboxing/first impressions. Cult of Mac publisher Leander Kahney grabbed a headset on launch day, and he’s mightily impressed.

Originally a skeptic, he now calls himself a “zealous convert.”
