How to use the new iCloud Shared Photo Library

Remember the bad old days when you shot some pictures, took the roll of film to a camera shop, ponied up some dough -- and then waited a week for prints you could show your loved ones?

Now that the iPhone is everybody's favorite camera, that quaint ritual has gone the way of the dodo bird. These days, you can instantly share images with friends and family members via text, AirDrop or email.

Not content with the status quo, Apple just made it even easier to share photos. With iOS 16.1, which Apple released yesterday, you can create an iCloud Shared Photo Library quickly and easily.
