The Mac's Swiss Army knife
How Raycast for Mac turbocharges productivity.
Today’s top post is about a crazy-versatile Mac tool that’s turbocharged the productivity of one of our writers.
Called Raycast, the alternative search/launcher/window manager is tricky to describe because it does so much.
Raycast can be a Spotlight alternative, helping you to search deep inside your computer’s settings, files or music library.
But it also comes with a built-in clipboard manager, making multiple cut-and-paste operations much better. There’s also an emoji picker that works better than Apple’s version. And a calculator. And a window manager. Plus a Focus mode. And much, much more.
If it all sounds a bit overwhelming, it’s not. You can just dip your toes and happily ignore Raycast’s many advanced functions. Best of all, it’s free to try out.
Our writer Rajesh Pandey swears by it. Here’s why.

Apple’s going Windows 95. The much-anticipated new iOS 19 might be named iOS 26. Sorry, wait, what?!?
Apple just updated Logic Pro, its pro-level music-making app, with some cool-sounding AI features, including an enhanced tool that splits recordings into separate tracks and additional sound libraries.
If you ever search for your personal info on Google or ChatGPT, you might be shocked to see what strangers can find out. Luckily, our friends at Incogni can help scrub the web of your personal info — and they offer an exclusive discount for our readers with code CULTOFMAC.
This is clever. Satechi just launched a new line of Find My-compatible accessories, including an eyeglasses case. If only I stored my always-missing glasses in their case.
Remember when Apple Card offered crazy 5% savings rates and higher? Yeah, those days are over.
My spare iPad is an old iPad Air, like this refurb we have on sale for $170. Amazingly, it’s still pretty snappy and happily runs iPadOS 18.5 — and should run iPadOS 19 (or iPadOS 2026) when Apple releases it this fall. If you want an iPad for the least amount possible, this refurb might be for you.

A message from Pacaso
The key to a $1.3T opportunity
A new real estate trend called co-ownership is revolutionizing a $1.3T market. Leading it? Pacaso. Led by former Zillow execs, they already have $110M+ in gross profits with 41% growth last year. They even reserved the Nasdaq ticker PCSO. But the real opportunity’s now. Until 5/29, you can invest for just $2.80/share.
This is a paid advertisement for Pacaso’s Regulation A offering. Please read the offering circular at invest.pacaso.com. Reserving a ticker symbol is not a guarantee that the company will go public. Listing on the NASDAQ is subject to approvals. Under Regulation A+, a company has the ability to change its share price by up to 20%, without requalifying the offering with the SEC.

Apparently Japan Post is debuting the most obvious improvement in addressing for last two decades: address virtualization.
You sign up with them and get a short alphanumeric code. Their DB holds a pointer to physical address. If you move, you tell them, pointer changes.

One more thing ...
Somebody once told me, “Manage the top line, and the bottom line will follow.” What's the top line? It's things like, why are we doing this in the first place? What's our strategy? What are customers saying? How responsive are we? Do we have the best products and the best people? Those are the kind of questions you have to focus on.
