Put ‘Find My’ into everything

Apple's Find My is an amazing service. I use it constantly to check on the location of family members and to locate misplaced items and devices.

The other day, my wife and I were trying to find a lost car key.

Find My said the item was close and directed me to my wife's purse.

She started digging through it but came up short. Still, Find My insisted it was there, so she started to empty her bag.

Now, my wife carries a lot of stuff in her purse. It was like watching a magician pulling an increasingly unlikely number of items from a top hat.

She completely emptied her purse, but there was no car key. Finally, she found the key tucked into an obscure side pocket she rarely uses. Without Find My, we'd never have found it.

Unfortunately, Find My is limited to a small subset of Apple's devices, and very few third-party products.

That needs to change.

The incredibly helpful feature is missing from far too many Apple accessories. This needs to change. Find My is amazing, but limited by not being on devices that need it.
