Apart from detecting cancer, the number one new health feature I want from the Apple Watch is blood sugar monitoring.
Monitoring blood glucose levels is essential for diabetics and prediabetics, and a non-invasive way to do that would be a huge boon for millions of people.
But I think it’d have a huge impact on the general population, too. It would make it much easier and more effective for everyone to manage their diets.
You’d get a spike alert after you stuffed your face with a doughnut, of course, but maybe also after you ate a supposedly “healthy” yogurt.
Food producers add a ton of hidden sugar to our foodstuffs, and a blood glucose sensor would help alert us to that.
Apple has been working on such a sensor for years, and it’s been rumored to appear any day now. But, ofc, it’s still MIA.
However, Google just unveiled a new feature in its latest Pixel Watches that gets most of the way there. Google’s new Insulin Resistance Trends feature is much like Apple’s elevated blood pressure warnings, and it sounds pretty fantastic.

Apple paying news publishers for Siri AI sounds right up my alley. I doubt Apple execs are fans of Apple news and rumor sites, though. Oh well. Still, this is something all those stealing AI bastards should get on board with.
Apple TV has traditionally focused on original shows, but the service just added some older movies to its collection. And, yeah, they look OK. I’d watch (or rewatch) some of them. But based on previous experience, they may not be around for long.
