The new Mac mini really appeals to me.
It’s tiny — not much larger than the diminutive Apple TV — and yet packs a formidable punch.
Powered by Apple’s M4 chip, it’s the most powerful computer you can get for the price: a mere $599.
Except, you can’t get it.
The $599 Mac mini is no longer available on Apple’s website. It hasn’t been officially discontinued, so what in tarnation is going on?
Also in today’s newsletter:
Anyone remember Don Crabb? He was a popular nationally syndicated newspaper columnist and radio host who often took Apple to task with the phrase: “Are you listening, Cupertino?” Today, we have our own version with some advice for incoming CEO John Ternus.
I think it will be cooler when the actual event happens, but search for “F1 Miami” in Apple Maps now, and this is what you’ll get.
The cheapest Mac mini might have gone missing, but the cheapest MacBook Neo is still available — and it’s on sale. You can even get same-day delivery of the laptop (in a lot of places).
Earlier this week, we highlighted this new folding Anker charger as a 🔥 deal — and now here’s our hands-on review. This is why we like it.
🔥 DEAL OF THE DAY: Today’s find is another Anker product, which is on sale for Earth Day. It’s a great little 45W nano charger with color display — and it’s 30% off. (We reviewed it, too.)
I’m obsessed with the snippet of Wagner in this old BBC report (around the 46-second mark). But, alas, I can’t find it on Apple Music Classical, perhaps the best way ever of getting into the magical world of classical music (except for that particular AWOL recording). If anyone can identify it (the exact conductor/orchestra, etc.), please let me know!
Don’t miss the new trailer for Apple TV’s upcoming Star City miniseries below. A lot of people are looking forward to this For All Mankind spinoff.
And I also LOL-ed at today’s top X post (warning: contains profanity).

One more thing ...
My model for business is The Beatles. They were four guys who kept each other’s kind of negative tendencies in check. They balanced each other, and the total was greater than the sum of the parts. That’s how I see business: Great things in business are never done by one person, they’re done by a team of people.
