Brought to you by Incogni, the easiest way to scrub your data from the internet.

I’ve slowly trained myself to adopt some new digital habits, but boy, it’s not always easy!

Years ago, I mapped the Action button on my iPhone to launch the flashlight. But, like a pigeon, I was so accustomed to the software button on the Home Screen, I always used that instead.

Same with Camera Control: I was so used to launching the camera from the Home Screen icon, I never trained myself to utilize the hardware button.

The only way to change my habits was to remove those two software buttons from my Home Screen. Once I did that, it didn’t take me long to get used to the new way.

Now I’m really looking forward to ditching one of my worst digital habits ever: having hundreds of open browser tabs all the time.

I often open new tabs to research this or that, and I keep them open to remind myself when I leave something unfinished. It’s like a half-assed Reminders system, without the useful stuff like due dates or notifications.

But I can see that a design change in the new Safari’s Reading List feature will immediately help me ditch that bad old habit.

And there’s another change that sounds positively insane: You can vibe-code your own Safari extensions. I’m definitely going to re-create the one in our post because it’ll be handy for me, too.

In fact, there’s a bunch of great new stuff coming in Safari — page-change notifications will be very handy, too.

This is one of those rare posts where all the new features are hits — not just one or two!

AI chatbots are giving out phone numbers

In March, Google Gemini provided incorrect customer service instructions that included the number of a software developer in Israel, who was contacted via WhatsApp.

Google AI frequently surfaces personal contact info — but there’s a very easy way to stop it.

Incogni aggressively tracks down and removes your information from data brokers and the open web, then keeps scanning to catch new exposures before they spread.

Stop leaving your data exposed. Act now and lock it down. Save 55% with code CULTOFMAC.

One more thing ...

Microsoft's orbit was made possible by a Saturn V booster called IBM. I know Bill would get upset with me saying this, but of course it was true. Much to Bill and Microsoft's credit, they used that fantastic opportunity to create more opportunity for themselves.
