It's official: iPhone 16 launches on Sept. 9

AirPods and Apple Watches also on tap at Apple's "Glowtime" event.

On Monday morning, Apple sent out invites to select press and various VIPs to the big iPhone 16 unveiling on September 9 — exactly three weeks away.

The “It’s Glowtime” invites feature a glowing Apple logo (a reference to the new Apple Intelligence-powered Siri). Aside from iPhones, we likely will see the introduction of Apple Watch Series 10 and Apple Watch SE 3, plus AirPods 4.

But say what? Wasn’t the event tipped for Tuesday, September 10?

Indeed it was, but either Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who predicted the September 10 date, got it wrong, or Apple moved up the event timing to mess with him.

Either way, we can’t wait to see him talking trash about himself for getting this one wrong! 🤣

Here’s what to expect at the Glowtime event, including when the new Apple products likely will ship.
