Is new Mac Book Air the perfect laptop?
Is the new M2 MacBook Air the perfect computer?
Lots of reviewers seem to be saying so.
“Apple’s near-perfect Mac,” says Engadget.
"This is the new standard bearer, the computer that will.. most likely end up being the definitive Mac of this decade," says Six Colors.
"Remarkably thin" and "extremely portable," says The Verge.
The initial reviews of the new machine are all extremely positive, with almost no downsides mentioned -- not even the price!

The first reviews of the M2 MacBook Air praise its slimmer design and speedy M2 processor. “Apple’s near-perfect Mac,” says Engadget. Sometimes reviews are a mix of positives and negatives. Not this time – reviewers found very little to criticize in Apple’s newest notebook.

Google’s Chrome OS Flex is now ready to revive Macs that are too elderly to run the latest macOS version. That includes models as far back as 2010. It turns the Mac into a Chromebook, but at least it’s an up-to-date one.
Now that Jony Ive and Apple have finally severed ties completely, it’s time for Cupertino’s current Industrial Design team to get the recognition it deserves. Ive’s old Industrial Design team at Apple has been doing stellar work in his absence, but without getting the full credit.

The just-launched Nothing Phone (1) is drawing a tremendous amount of attention even though it’s only a mid-range Android with some glowing bits. Android fans seem to really like the LED design on the back, but maybe they haven’t noticed that it’s mostly an Apple logo. Intentional homage? Accident? Definitely hilarious!
In new Apple TV+ documentary series Gutsy, Hillary Rodham Clinton and her daughter Chelsea Clinton will interview women the pair find inspirational. The eight-part docuseries, based on the Clintons’ bestseller The Book of Gutsy Women, will premiere September 9, Apple said Thursday in a press release.
OWC’s Mac mini-size Thunderbolt hub also adds terabytes of storage [Review] ★★★★★ — www.cultofmac.com
The OWC MiniStack STX is just the right size to stack with a Mac mini. The hub adds three Thunderbolt 4/USB-C ports that can be hooked to high-resolution displays and external drives. It also includes bays for SATA and/or NVMe M.2 drives. That’s space for up to 18TB of storage.
Tweet o' the day
I like the lights/design of the Nothing 1 phone, but ironically, all my brain can see here is an abstract Apple logo. The bite. The stem. Is it intentional?!

One more thing ...
"The Macintosh was sort of like this wonderful romance in your life that you once had -- and that produced about 10 million children. In a way it will never be over in your life. You'll still smell that romance every morning when you get up. And when you open the window, the cool air will hit your face, and you'll smell that romance in the air. And you'll see your children around, and you feel good about it. And nothing will ever make you feel bad about it." -- Steve Jobs.
