I have high hopes for Visual Intelligence, Apple’s image-driven AI lookup feature.

The tech has the potential to be one of the most popular features in the Apple Intelligence arsenal.

Just point your iPhone camera at something and Visual Intelligence should — at some point — be able to recognize it, then give you information about it or do something useful based on the info, like creating a new calendar event.

Right now, Visual Intelligence is still in the early stages, though, and its utility isn’t fully realized. However, Apple just added a couple of important and handy new Visual Intelligence features in the iOS 18.3 update, released to the public today. (We also updated our post on how to make the most out of Visual Intelligence.)
