What's new in iOS 18.3
It's out now with Visual Intelligence upgrades and more.
I have high hopes for Visual Intelligence, Apple’s image-driven AI lookup feature.
The tech has the potential to be one of the most popular features in the Apple Intelligence arsenal.
Just point your iPhone camera at something and Visual Intelligence should — at some point — be able to recognize it, then give you information about it or do something useful based on the info, like creating a new calendar event.
Right now, Visual Intelligence is still in the early stages, though, and its utility isn’t fully realized. However, Apple just added a couple of important and handy new Visual Intelligence features in the iOS 18.3 update, released to the public today. (We also updated our post on how to make the most out of Visual Intelligence.)

Apple updated macOS Sequoia today, too. The ability to make your own Genmoji is the update’s marquee feature.
Apple’s been doing a killer job of late with its entry-level products (iPad 10 and M4 Mac mini, for example). The upcoming iPhone SE looks like no exception. A new video lays out what to expect from Apple’s budget handset.
Today’s the day in Apple history that Steve Jobs introduced the first-generation iPad. It became Apple's fastest-selling new product ever. Jobs himself described it as the most important product he’d ever worked on. I remember being pleasantly surprised by the tablet’s introductory price.
We hands-on review a new monitor from BenQ that offers similar specs to Apple’s pricey Studio Display at a lower price — is it any good?
Apple celebrates Black History Month with the new 2025 Black Unity Collection, which includes a cool Apple Watch band that changes color depending on the viewing angle.
