New Apple Car renders inspired by patents
I love good concept designs, especially of the upcoming Apple Car, which offers a ton of tantalizing possibilities. What would an autonomous, robot-driven vehicle of the future look like?
A U.K. company just released a series of concept designs -- inside and out -- based on Apple's portfolio of car patents and Cupertino's current product design language.
The result is a fascinating vehicle that offers suicide doors, fully rotating seats, and Siri built into the steering column.
There are lots of great details and thoughtful touches, but to my mind it doesn't look very Apple-y. Also, as Steve Jobs might say, it's not very sexy. (When Jobs returned to Apple in the late '90s, he famously said: "The products suck! There's no sex in them anymore!")
And what's with the right-hand drive?!?!?!?
