'Masters of the Air': Why you should watch
Apple TV+'s new WWII drama is thrilling.
Apple TV+’s Masters of the Air is getting mixed reviews, with some critics hating the big-budget WWII drama.
So I went in with low expectations, but so far I’m loving it.
Produced by Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman — the same team behind the lauded Band of Brothers and The Pacific war dramas — the show falls short of the namesake book it’s based on, according to a couple of reviews I read.
But not having read the book, I’m enjoying the series on its merits. And so far, I’m thoroughly engrossed in the horrific, scary ride. Here’s why you should be watching Masters of the Air, too.

I’m in love with Apple Vision Pro— and my whole family is, too, after checking it out this weekend at a Super Bowl party (especially my 80-year-old mother). However, the version that’ll take the headset mainstream is at least four generations away.

Did the hat clips + no light seal mod and it’s a million times better. No weight on my face. Having Peripheral vision feels great. And the field of view is now /incredibly/ wide.

I find a lot of live music too loud for my liking; Apple Watch warns above 95dB.
Looks dorky but I’ve started to wear my AirPods w/ adaptive transparency mode; still get 99% of enjoyment without long term pain. Noise exposure down to ~75dB & the good stuff still comes through.

So apparently two people with vision Pro’s can mirror one person’s view to the other. Meaning you can see the other person’s POV in real time no matter where they are or what they’re doing. Has there been anything like this before? Might be the most sci-fi thing I’ve heard yet.

One more thing ...
The reason Apple resonates with people is that there’s a deep current of humanity in our innovation.
