WWDC will, once again, be a virtual event.
Personally, Iām OK with that. The virtual keynotes that Apple produced the last few years have been great. And all the WWDC23 talks and workshops will be streamed and easily accessible.
However, a lot of people will be unhappy about this. For some, WWDC is the biggest networking event of the year. Some people even plan their vacations around it.
But in years past, the event was so oversubscribed, Apple was forced to set up a lottery for tickets. Suddenly, you might not get a ticket after going for years. It was deeply unfair, and every year it made a lot of developers unhappy.
At least with an online event, everyone is welcome. And we might just get our very first glimpse of Appleās long-rumored mixed-reality headset.
Let us know how you feel about another virtual WWDC in the poll below.

One more thing ...
When we were an agrarian nation, all cars were trucks. But as people moved more towards urban centers, people started to get into cars. I think PCs are going to be like trucks. Fewer people will need them. And this transformation is going to make some people uneasy ⦠because the personal computer has taken us a long way.
