MacBook Pro's next big move

Major redesign will yield thinner, lighter laptop with OLED screen.

In partnership with

The next major MacBook Pro redesign reportedly will bring laptops that are thinner and lighter, with a long-rumored OLED screen and (of course) a faster chip.

However, they won't arrive as soon as some people thought. The latest insider report says the first OLED MacBook Pro won't land until 2026. Apparently, Apple is struggling to get the fancy display just right.

All that to say ... if you were considering this year's MacBook Pro but figured you'd put it off until next year so you could jump on the OLED train, maybe you should go ahead and pull the trigger now.

After all, most Cult of Mac Today readers agree that the first benchmarks of the M4 Pro and M4 Max chips sound utterly amazing. (See poll results below.)

A message from Mode Mobile

Could this be the biggest disruption to Smartphones in the past 15 years? 📲

💥Heads up! There's a new disruptor in smartphones: Mode Mobile. Mode can turn your phone from a cost into an income source — and investors are watching the launch of the company’s pre-IPO offering.1

🫴 Mode’s Pre-IPO offering1 is live at $0.25/share — 20,000+ shareholders already participated in its previous sold-out offering. There’s still time to get in on Mode’s pre-IPO raise and even lock in 100% bonus shares2 … but only until their current raise closes for good.

1 Mode Mobile currently has no formal plans for an IPO.

One more thing ...

As we have tried to come up with a strategy and a vision for Apple, it started with, "What incredible benefits can we give to the customer? Where can we take the customer?" Not starting with, "Let's sit down with the engineers, and figure out what awesome technology we have, and then how are we going to market that?" And I think that's the right path to take.
