How to leave a FaceTime voicemail
iOS 17 makes it easy to send a video message to be watched later.
These days, I tend to do a lot of FaceTime calls with friends and family.
There’s something amazing and intimate about seeing and hearing the person on the other end of the line.
Even a simple video call with my mom from an airport in New Zealand, when she was just checking in, seemed meaningful and brought us closer. I also enjoy FaceTiming with my brother in London. (I don’t see a lot of him otherwise.)
And what better way to make family calls on Xmas morning? There’s no better way to connect.
But what if the other party doesn’t answer? Well, you can leave a nice video message instead. It’s voicemail, but with video! Here’s how to leave a FaceTime voicemail.

Managing storage on your iPhone is an enormous pain; this 128GB flash drive will make it a lot easier, especially when transferring files between devices. Plus, it comes with four connectors: USB-C, Lightning, USB 3.0 and micro-USB.
This dual-screen setup is so expansive, it needs a 96-inch solid wood kitchen countertop to set it on.

Apple didn’t give me a bonus for inventing the cursor gesture; I made the prototype before they hired me:

For those asking about photo organization: I shoot, import, edit, select and export. The export goes into dated and named folders that are also albums in Apple Photos.
Did you know Photos albums can have folders? 2022 contains albums which contain folders, etc. it’s great.

One more thing ...
Lasting companies know how to reinvent themselves. Hewlett-Packard had done that repeatedly; it started as an instrument company, then became a calculator company, then a computer company. Apple has been sidelined by Microsoft in the PC business. You've got to reinvent the company to do some other thing, like other consumer products or devices. You've got to be like a butterfly and have a metamorphosis.
