Last-minute iPhone rumors
New colors and detailed specs emerge. Plus, more chargers from IFA Berlin.
Back in 1908, you could get a Ford Model T in any color you wanted, as long as it was black. Why? Because black paint dried quickly, compared to weeks for more vibrant colors.
General Motors successfully competed with the crazy-popular Model T by developing fast-drying paints in a range of colors, bringing all-important “eye appeal” to its vehicles (in the words of GM’s CEO at the time, Alfred P. Sloan Jr.).
Eye appeal proves important in personal electronics, too, and a big part of Apple’s strategy has been to regularly offer the iPhone in new colors.
And next week sounds no different: The iPhone 16 reportedly will come in a range of new colors — details here.

New iPhone chargers continue to pop up at IFA Berlin. Highlights include cute, robot-looking Uno models from Ugreen that pack a serious punch and Belkin’s new power banks with handy built-in cables and adapters.
Our friends at CdkeySales are offering Windows 11 Pro at a whopping 88% off for the back-to-school season.
And today’s the day in Apple history that Microsoft released Windows 95, the super-popular update to its OS that nearly killed off Apple.

One more thing ...
You should never start a company with the goal of getting rich. Your goal should be making something you believe in and making a company that will last.
