I don’t like to toot our own horn (actually, I do, but never mind that), but Cult of Mac writer Ed Hardy has done another great job of rounding up the latest Apple rumors.
This time it’s what to expect for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, which we’re likely to see in about four short weeks.
You’ve likely seen some of the rumors already: the new dark cherry color, or the faster A20 processor that’ll power these handsets.
Ed does a great job of pulling it all together and putting it in the proper context.
His post is well-written and structured, and at the end of it, you could probably ace a Ph.D.-level thesis defense about the new phones.
The bad news is that after reading it, you’re gonna be even more conflicted about what new iPhone to buy (if any). That variable aperture camera is going to be a big draw, though.
Also in today’s newsletter:
Apple patched a nasty screen-sharing bug last month, but a lot of people clearly haven’t installed it — and now it’s being exploited in the wild.
If you use Logitech’s marvelous keyboards or mice, here’s a great recommendation for much better software to control them.
Also on the security front, Apple just updated its major operating systems with some important patches.
🔥 DEAL OF THE DAY: Everyone talks on speakerphone these days, and this mini clip-on Bluetooth speaker looks perfect for that. Good for exercise, too. You can even stereo pair them! Only $22. #affiliate
This story about Steve Jobs’ stolen iPad is a hoot (with a great headline, if I do say so myself), and the detail about his wallet is 🤌 💋.

15% Off Your First Order of Fresh-Roasted Pods
Most K-Cups sit in a warehouse for months before they reach your brewer — and you can taste it. Angelino's, a third-generation roaster in Los Angeles, does it differently: every pod is roasted, ground, and sealed fresh in-house, then shipped to your door within days of roasting.
Choose from 50+ specialty coffees — single origins, dark roasts, flavored favorites like Jamaican Me Crazy, plus decafs and teas — all compatible with your Keurig® brewer. Mix and match any coffees you like, and watch the savings climb: bulk discounts start at 5+ boxes and reach up to 34% off at 12+.
And here's the best part: new customers get an extra 15% off their first order, on top of bulk savings. It's applied automatically at checkout — no code, no subscription required. Free shipping on orders over $49 or 4+ boxes.
Fresh coffee shouldn't require a coffee shop.

One more thing ...
I love what we're doing at Apple now — I think it's the best work that Apple's ever done. But I think all of us on the Mac team point to that as the high point of our careers. It's like The Beatles playing Shea Stadium. We were really working 14-to-18-hour days, seven days a week. For, like, two years, three years. That was our life. But we loved it, we were young, and we could do it.
