🚨🚨🚨 iPhone price increases!

Pricey iPhones look ready to get even pricier!

In 2017, Apple priced the iPhone X starting at $999 and sparked outrage.

Never had a smartphone been priced so high. But customers cared not and snapped up the new handset as fast as they could.

That $999 base price for Apple’s best smartphones hasn’t shifted since then: The iPhone 14 Pro still starts at $999 in 2023.

So, it’s been a long time since Apple increased iPhone prices (in the United States, anyway). It looks like that’s about to change, though. It’s rumored the price for iPhone 15 Pro models, expected in the fall, will increase between $100 and $200.

If true, it’s probably not just inflation. We expect several new technologies and features in the high-end handsets, including a fancy titanium body, a 3nm process for the CPU and (maybe) solid-state buttons.

Given these breakthroughs, I think a couple hundred extra bucks isn’t a big ask. But I know a lot of people will be horrified that the world’s richest company is squeezing even more money out of its loyal customers.

One more thing ...

A good company must ‘impute’ — it must convey its values and importance in everything it does, from packaging to marketing.
