Why iPhone 14 Plus is delayed
If you're in the market for Apple's latest plus-size iPhone, you will have to wait a few weeks.
Unlike other models in the iPhone 14 lineup, preorders for the new iPhone 14 Plus don't ship until October 7.
Apple hasn't said why, and it's puzzling. The delay only affects the regular iPhone 14 Plus, not the iPhone 14 Pro Max, which also comes with a 6.7-inch screen.
Cult of Mac talked to a respected analyst and supply chain expert who gave us the skinny on the delay.

Three of the new iPhone 14 models first reach customers on September 16, but not the iPhone 14 Plus. That’s on hold for three extra weeks. Apple didn’t explain the delay, but an analyst has the likely reason why: Cupertino can’t get enough of a critical component.
