Why iPhone 13 is worth upgrading from iPhone 11 or XR [Review]

Every year, tech reviewers say exactly the same thing about Apple's latest iPhones: "They're great and wonderful and all, but they're an incremental upgrade." The New York Times' review is even titled: "The Most Incremental Upgrade Ever." 

But The Joy of Tech cartoon has a good rejoinder to this kind of thinking.

It shows a woman being mansplained about why the iPhone 13 is an "S"-style upgrade by her boyfriend. After he berates her, she introduces her new boyfriend.

"He looks a bit like you," she says, "but his display is improved, his eyes are a little better, he has better performance, and he lasts longer!"

And that's the annual iPhone upgrade argument in a nutshell.
