Why Google Stadia shutdown is bad for Apple gamers

Google has a reputation for starting big, flashy projects and then prematurely shutting them down.

So it is with Stadia, an innovative cloud gaming system that streamed console-level games to less-powerful devices like iPhones and iPads by doing the heavy processing on the server.

Stadia reportedly had good technology, and had ironed out early problems with lag. But the service never caught on with customers, Google said.

Apple users still have multiple cloud gaming options, including Xbox Cloud GamingNvidia GeForce Now and Amazon Luna.
