I’ve been an iPhone user since day one (I still have the highly-coveted launch day bag).
And I’ve been an iPhone Pro user since Apple split the models in 2019 with the iPhone 11.
But I don’t really use the “pro” features of my iPhone 17 Pro.
I do appreciate the faster processor, I suppose, but shooting video in ProRes RAW. Yeah, I’m never going to do that.
So I’m pretty confident my next iPhone is going to be the folding one.
I’m impressed by my next-door neighbor’s folding Galaxy phone, and I’m excited to see what apps can do with the extra screen real estate. (We published a preview here).
It looks like a lot of other people have reached the same conclusion — despite the rumored $2,500-$3,000 price tag.
And with iPhone launch day bags selling for several hundred dollars on eBay, I may have found a way to (partly) afford it.
