Not to pat ourselves on the back, but we did have a clever idea.

The iOS 27 developer beta for the first time allows iOS apps to be stretched to an arbitrary size.

So what?

Well, it’s a huge clue about the upcoming, hotly anticipated folding iPhone.

When unfolded, the still-secret iPhone will have an inner screen about the size of an iPad mini. And thanks to Apple’s latest software, iPhone apps will be able to stretch to fill the expanded screen space.

Cult of Mac writer D. Griffin Jones had the clever idea of using the latest developer beta to see what they looked like.

And here are the results: A gallery of Apple apps that have been modified to support larger screen sizes.

It’s pretty instructive, especially with data-rich apps like the Weather app, which really show the potential for the folding iPhone.

One more thing ...

You should never start a company with the goal of getting rich. Your goal should be making something you believe in and making a company that will last.
