Why you should get Wi-Fi 7
Plus, what's on tap for Apple Watch in 2024.
2024 is gonna be expensive!
If you’re planning on getting the upcoming Apple Vision Pro headset, you might also want to look at upgrading your Wi-Fi.
If you’re like me and haven’t upgraded your Wi-Fi for a while, 2024 is gonna put a strain on your aging system with high-demand hardware like AR headsets.
Plus, 2024 is the 10th anniversary of the Apple Watch (can you believe it’s been 10 years? Yikes!!!) and will likely see the release of a special “X” edition. However it looks, one thing’s for sure: It’s not gonna be cheap.
Also in today’s newsletter:
Talking of cheap, this knife sharpener deal is a really good discount on a well-reviewed piece of kitchen equipment. All our kitchen knives are duller than a Humane product launch; might be time to get one myself.
Slow Horses is silly but fun; I’m stoked it’s been renewed for a fifth season on Apple TV+.
Today’s the day in Apple history that the Apple II got its killer app: VisiCalc. Steve Jobs himself said it was the single most important thing to ever happen to Apple — see the quote below.

One more thing ...
The Apple II could hold up to 48 kilobytes of memory which today doesn't seem like much, but at that time was maybe three times as much as its competitors. And that's why VisiCalc was written for the Apple II. It was the only computer that could hold it. And so if VisiCalc had been written for some other computer, you'd be interviewing somebody else right now.
