Get ready for WWDC22 bingo
Most Apple developers follow what Cupertino is up to closely. After all, their livelihood often depends on it.
So what are they predicting will be unveiled at next week's WWDC programmers conference?
A WWDC bingo card provides some clues.
The bingo card -- actually a spreadsheet -- lists more than 70 predictions, and the voting on them offers a crowdsourced list of expectations.
The bingo card is satisfyingly detailed, offering odds on almost every possibility, from free-floating windows on iPad to a new HomePod.
Surprisingly, developers are cool about one of the biggest rumors concerning Apple's AR/VR headset. It's definitely not Kelly's eye in the list of predictions!

WWDC Bingo is back ahead of next week’s Apple Worldwide Developers Conference. The crew behind the Flighty flight-tracking app put together the contest, which doubles as a survey about what participants expect during Monday’s WWDC22 keynote.
In addition to promoting the new #WWDC22 hashtag this week, Apple has made a special webpage highlighting community-hosted events set to happen during or after its Worldwide Developers Conference next week. The events are a good opportunity for “learning, networking, and fun,” Apple said.
You’re probably here so you can install the beta version of macOS 13. The developer beta is anticipated for release the first week of June at WWDC22, Apple’s annual developer conference. The smart way to install it — especially with the developer betas, which can be notoriously rocky — is to use a separate partition. Read on to partition your hard drive with Disk Utility.
Speidel makes all sorts of watch bands and straps — including a wide range of bands for Apple Watch. Little did we know there’s one made for medical workers, as in doctors and nurses. It’s the Speidel Matching Scrub Band for Apple Watch, and it’s on sale in the Cult of Mac Store for just $5.99, or 70% off the regular price.
There are cases for MacBooks. And there are USB-C hubs. And external hard drives, too. Case X is all three of these. It clips to the top of the laptop, adding six extra ports and up to 4TB of additional storage.
This MagSafe-compatible charger from Tech Zebra works just like Apple’s, but costs less than half as much. Just like Apple’s pricey accessory, this thin wireless charging puck uses magnets to attach to the back of an iPhone. But rather than paying $39 (the list price for Apple’s charger), you can get this one on sale for only $16.99.
Looking to buy the fantastic Apple TV 4K? Amazon has a sweet $29 discount that brings its price down to $149.99. This is the lowest Apple’s streaming box has been available on Amazon in the last 30 days.
Grab your sword and your iPad to battle the demonic forces of evil in Diablo Immortal. Blizzard Entertainment created the massively multiplayer online action role-playing game for iPhone, Android and Apple tablets. It’s also out for PC, and players will be able enjoy the game across platforms.
Apple TV+ revealed that the psychological thriller Surface from Veronica West will premiere on July 29. It stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw, best known for appearing in Apple’s critically acclaimed The Morning Show. The upcoming series asks, what if you woke up one day and didn’t know your own secrets?
Tweets o' the day
one time i walked past sheryl and zuck sitting at a table in the bldg 21 courtyard and i overheard her trying to explain what “lit” meant
she was like “yeah it’s a very positive thing, like sometimes my kids say i’m a ‘lit mom’” and mark was just nodding along very intently

One more thing ...
"We had a fundamental belief that doing it right the first time was going to be easier than having to go back and fix it. And I cannot say strongly enough that the repercussions of that attitude are staggering. I've seen them again and again throughout my business life." -- Steve Jobs.
