Get the 'new' iPhone battery percentage

Apple on Tuesday released the third public beta versions of iOS 16, iPadOS 16, tvOS 16, watchOS 9 and macOS Ventura.

They include lots of new goodies, but it's the beta of iOS 16 that has everyone excited -- it brings back the battery percentage icon to the status bar for the first time in five years.
