Foldable iPad coming in 2024?

A major redesign of the iPad reportedly will bring a folding screen for the first time.

One of my neighbors has a folding Samsung phone, which opens up into a mini tablet.

The screen feels a bit plasticky, and there’s a small ridge that runs down the seam, but it’s quite a fantastic device.

He showed me a live stream from the security cameras around his house, and the experience was much better than on a small smartphone screen.

When he was done, he folded the mini tablet up and put it in his pocket.

That was when its biggest weakness was revealed: Folded in half, the tablet’s a bit chunky.

Folding screens are still gimmicky, but the technology is developing fast. And if Apple can make a sturdy iPad that folds up into a smaller package, I’d be one of the first in line.

One more thing...

I think if you do something and it turns out pretty good, then you should go do something else wonderful, not dwell on it for too long. Just figure out what's next.

If Apple releases a folding iPad, will you buy it?
