Flat face Apple Watch rumors are back

When Apple Watch Series 7 launched last year, we floated the theory that Cupertino delayed a new design that would have featured a flat watch face.

At the time, it looked pretty likely that Apple simply was unable to roll out the rumored redesign, for whatever reason. And Apple Watch Series 7 ended up looking largely the same as Series 6.

But now, leaks suggest the flat-faced design is coming this year in Apple Watch Series 8.

But a new leak suggests those traits might define the upcoming Apple Watch Series 8. Or maybe the characteristics apply to the rumored “rugged” Apple Watch that could be coming soon. Either way, rumors suggest something's in the works.
