'Find My' helps Ukraine track Russian troops

Next time you go invading a country, it's probably best to have your soldiers forgo looting civilians' Apple gear.

Vladimir Putin is reportedly finding that out the hard way: Ukrainians are using Apple's Find My network to watch the progress of their stolen hardware -- in the hands of Russian troops who took it -- in real time.

After Russian soldiers stole Apple gear during the invasion, the devices’ Ukrainian owners can see and report on where the troops toting the gadgets are going in real time, including a recent retreat into Belarus.
