Explore famous Apple Stores in 3D
Remember that time you camped all night outside an Apple store and ran inside screaming and shouting for the launch of a new iPod?
Now you can relive that moment in full 3D glory.
Michael Steeber has created four super-detailed 3D models of famous Apple retail stores. You can download the models yourself to explore and reminisce.
The stores are frozen in time circa the early 2000s when they first opened. One of them even has a "working" iMac G3 running Mac OS X 10.0.
Steeber, who built a super-detailed Minecraft replica of Apple's HQ a few years ago, captured every detail of the stores for his latest project. From the window posters to the fixtures on the famous glass stairs, the attention to detail is phenomenal.
And it's all free -- unless you want to leave a donation.

One more thing ...
"We think the Mac will sell zillions, but we didn't build Mac for anybody else. We built it for ourselves. We were the group of people who were going to judge whether it was great or not. We weren't going to go out and do market research. We just wanted to build the best thing we could build. When you're a carpenter making a beautiful chest of drawers, you're not going to use a piece of plywood on the back, even though it faces the wall and nobody will ever see it. You'll know it's there, so you're going to use a beautiful piece of wood on the back. For you to sleep well at night, the aesthetic, the quality, has to be carried all the way through." -- Steve Jobs
