Emergency upgrade?

Tariffs could push iPhone prices to $2,300!

During the first Trump administration, Tim Cook was personally able to get a special carve-out for Apple from tariffs on goods made in China.

Not this time.

With Trump ordering across-the-board tariffs on products imported from foreign countries (with a massive 54% tariff on goods from China), Apple’s products are almost certain to get more expensive.

Apple’s attempts to diversify away from China won’t bring much relief. Trump also ordered big tariffs on Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand and India — all Apple manufacturing hubs.

How bad could the impact be? The top-of-the-line iPhone 16 Pro Max with 1TB storage might rise from $1,599 to nearly $2,300, according to one analyst’s estimate.

Car dealers and other outlets for big-ticket items are already seeing sales bumps as buyers rush to make purchases before the tariffs bite.

So it’s a good question — should you upgrade your iPhone, Mac or iPad right now, before they go up 30% to 40% or more?

One more thing ...

My job is to work with sort of the top 100 people, that's what I do. That doesn't mean they're all vice presidents. Some of them are just key individual contributors. When a good idea comes, you know, part of my job is to move it around, just see what different people think, get people talking about it, argue with people about it, get ideas moving among that group of 100 people, get different people together to explore different aspects of it quietly, and, you know — just explore things.
