Is your device too old?
Your iPhone might run iOS 18, but it ain't getting all the new features.
If you own an older iPhone — the iPhone 13 Pro Max, for example — you’re probably looking forward to installing iOS 18 on it later this year.
However, while your iPhone 13 may run iOS 18 just fine, some marquee features will not work on it — texting via satellite, for example.
In fact, the iPhone 13 and a bunch of older Apple devices will miss out on a variety of features when Apple rolls out its operating system updates later this year.
The missing features in iOS 18 are resource-hungry, and will require the very latest hardware to run. This is also true of iPadOS 18, macOS Sequoia and watchOS 11.
Check out our top post today to see what features won’t be coming to older devices — even relatively new ones.

I love my iPad’s Magic Keyboard, but according to our writer Ed Hardy, Logitech’s keyboard case is even better. See his hands-on review.
The latest iPad Pros may be Apple’s thinnest devices to date but the company’s not done yet. Apple wants to make the iPhone, MacBook and Apple Watch the lightest and thinnest products you can buy.
The best scanning app out there — SwiftScan VIP (see our Awesome Apps post) — is on sale for 70% off, the best price online.
This 2TB portable SSD is great for backups. It’s not the fastest, but it is possibly the cheapest at just $44.97 for a limited time.
Once again, Apple Watch is credited with saving someone’s life.

One more thing ...
When I was growing up, a guy across the street had a Volkswagen Bug. He really wanted to make it into a Porsche. He spent all his spare money and time accessorizing this VW, making it look and sound loud. By the time he was done, he did not have a Porsche. He had a loud, ugly VW.
