Cable innovation!
A humble cable gets a clever upgrade.
Nomad had a clever idea.
The company’s new charging cable features an Apple Watch charger built into the cable itself. I’ve never seen anything like it.
At the other end of the cable is a regular USB-C connector so it can juice another device while fast charging your Apple Watch (or compatible AirPods).
The cable could replace your travel charger — which justifies, I guess, its premium price. And you thought Apple’s cables were expensive!
Still, it can handle high wattage, so it can fast-charge MacBooks and iPads plus your Apple Watch. And it’s very easy to pack. There’s a lot to like.
Also in today’s newsletter:
Apple silicon is killing it, and the next-gen M5 chip is already in production. Seems like just yesterday that Apple announced the M4. (The company is sticking to an annual upgrade cycle, which is pretty darn impressive.) Here’s when the M5 is likely coming out, and in what device.
Satechi’s cleverly designed Mac mini hub launched early: Go grab it!
A wireless CarPlay screen for less than $75? Yes, please!
Who says browser innovation is dead? Opera’s latest Air browser offers built-in mindfulness features like neck exercises, meditation sessions and brain-boosting binaural beats! Perhaps it’s not as nutty as it sounds?

Thoughts on Apple Invites
Today Apple released Apple Invites, an app that makes it easy to send invites to birthday parties, game nights, and graduation parties.
I’m a founder of Luma, an app that makes it easy to create event pages, sell tickets, and send event invites. Sounds… x.com/i/web/status/1…

The 2011 and 2012 13" are still one of the best cheap Macs you can get btw, it's still powerful enough to be used for 90% of stuff and they're rly solid & upgradable

One more thing ...
Somebody once told me, “Manage the top line, and the bottom line will follow.” What's the top line? It's things like, why are we doing this in the first place? What's our strategy? What are customers saying? How responsive are we? Do we have the best products and the best people? Those are the kind of questions you have to focus on.
Today’s poll
How bonkers is Opera's new browser? |
Results from yesterday’s poll: Is Invites a good example of vertical integration, or more Apple lock-in?
