As some business guru once said, “If you can't measure it, you can't manage it.”

Measuring your mental health is tricky, but Apple’s giving it a shot in iOS 17.

The Health app can now be used to track how you feel throughout the day, with the goal of helping you identify what helps you feel good and what doesn’t, be it sleep, exercise, family or friends.

If you often feel anxious or stressed out, tracking how you feel throughout the day may help you pinpoint what exactly causes the problem. Then you can make changes to fix it.

Alternatively, you might discover that meeting friends for coffee or lunch elevates your mood. The Health app could help you make that connection. Here’s how to get started with the new mood-tracking features in iOS 17.
