Battery percentage is back!
Our long national nightmare is over: battery percentage is finally back!
The battery percentage indicator in the iPhone's status bar made a surprise reappearance in the latest iOS 16 beta.
Battery percentage is probably the most-missed feature Apple removed from the Home Screen when it introduced the "notch" with iPhone X in 2017.
Despite clamoring from users, Apple never brought it back, until now.
It only took five years, but better late than never. Perhaps the hole-and-pill design of the upcoming iPhone 14 has something to do with it?

The latest iOS 16 beta returns the iPhone’s battery percentage to the status bar. This is Apple finally walking back a controversial user interface change from 2017.
The iPhone 14 is expected next month, but you don’t have to wait – most of the details have leaked out already. We know about the new Plus version, the higher-res camera, the always-on display and much more. So why wait? Here’s all the leaked details on the 2022 iPhone.
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has once again reiterated that Apple’s AR/VR headset could debut as early as January 2023. The analyst believes Apple’s augmented reality headset could be “the next revolutionary consumer electronics product after the iPhone.”
With iToolab AnyGo, you can spoof your iPhone GPS location easily to play location-based games like Pokémon Go without all that walking.
Apple will add two new ports to the 2022 iPad Pro, according to an unconfirmed report. However, it’s not known what these will be for as they do not conform to any connectors used by current Apple devices. But there’s no mention of a second USB-C port in the upcoming tablet.
With a new week come new discounts on Apple products — especially at this time of year, with new product releases from Cupertino around the corner. Today Amazon is chopping $50 off of iPad Pro Magic Keyboards and $30 off Apple Pencil 2 (which is a return to an all-time low price).
iPad is an outstanding tablet, but add the Zagg Pro Keys with Trackpad and it becomes a powerful notebook computer that’s ready for work or school. Plus, the keyboard case offers a welcome 6.6 feet of drop protection.
On August 8, 1997, Steve Jobs introduced the world to the iconic slogan, "Think different." It became Apple's most famous catchphrase.
Some computer setups are so strikingly beautiful they look like art installations. That tends to happen more with multiple-display setups because the imagery on the screens really adds to the aesthetic impact. Today’s featured M1 Mac mini setup makes a visual statement using six displays, including two ultra-wide monitors and two iPads, plus some clever backlighting.

One more thing ...
"Hollywood's really different than Silicon Valley. And neither understands the other at all. People up here think being creative is some guys in their late 20s and early 30s sitting around old couches drinking beer thinking up jokes. It couldn't be further from the truth. The creative process is just as disciplined as the technical process; it requires just as much talent. And yet people in Hollywood think technology is only as deep as something you buy. There's no technical culture in Hollywood, they couldn't attract and retain good engineers to save their life, because they're second class citizens down there. Just like creative people are second class citizens in Silicon Valley." -- Steve Jobs.
