Apple's VR/AR headset may be delayed
Apple's latest unannounced product (a VR/AR headset) has been unofficially delayed to an unannounced later date, according to unnamed sources.
That's the skinny from Bloomberg, which is claiming that the most hotly anticipated product of 2022 might get pushed back until 2023.
It's a bummer, if true, but it's not over yet -- and let's hope Apple can pull it out of the bag. After all, most of Apple's major products go through some kind of development hell.
The first iPod, for example, was reportedly nearly pushed back when a nasty battery bug surfaced at the last minute.
But Tony Fadell, the ex-Apple executive in charge of the iPod's development, brushed aside such fears, telling me in an interview that last-minute glitches were par for the course and NBD.
Let's hope this is the case for Apple's VR/AR headset. I can't wait to strap it on!

The long-rumored device might not be announced until late this year -- and might not ship until next year. Mechanical and software problems reportedly delayed the headset, which supposedly will offer both virtual reality and augmented reality capabilities.
The displays in the two “standard” iPhone 14 versions will be upgraded to 120Hz, according to a prediction by an industry analyst. And they supposedly will come with 50% more RAM.
Sonos and Ikea are at it again with the speakers that look like other things. They recently launched the second generation of the Symfonisk table lamp speaker.
Game design is a huge and exciting industry, but it’s also hard to learn when you’re first getting started. Even making simple games and learning what’s fun and what isn’t is locked at the bottom of a steep learning curve. Luckily for would-be game devs, The Complete GameGuru Unlimited Bundle helps you ride that learning curve.
With an edge-to-edge display and no Home button, the device looks a lot like iPhone XR, but with the same dimensions as the current iPhone SE.

Apple TV+ earned six nominations across five series in the 2022 Writers Guild of America Awards. These honor outstanding writing in TV series. The film nominations will be announced later in January, and Apple might pick up some additional nominations then.
Blogger Basic Apple Guy, whom we’ll call BAG, has been an Apple fan since high school shop class, when he convinced the teacher that making an iMovie on the teacher’s iMac G3 should fit into the curriculum. Now, decades later, BAG’s passion lives on. It showed when he recently shared one of his computer setups, the “kitchen edition.”

"I love things that level hierarchy, that bring the individual up to the same level as an organization, or a small group up to the same level as a large group with much greater resources. And the Web and the Internet do that. It's a very profound thing, and a very good thing." -- Steve Jobs
