This is how Apple’s AR/VR headset might look
I'm a huge fan of speculative renders, and the latest mockups of Apple's upcoming AR/VR headset have a lot going for them.
They cleverly build on design cues from Apple's high-end AirPods Max headphones and Apple Watch. The renders actually look like something Apple might release.
But please, please, please let them be hopelessly wrong.
No matter how thin and lightweight and "sexy" Apple's AR/VR goggles turn out to be, I just can't see myself wearing them -- or anyone else, for that matter.
My attitude is perfectly summed up by Nick Clegg, head of PR for Facebook parent company Meta, who conducted a media interview last week in the "metaverse" while wearing the company's Quest headset.

The soon-to-launch Schlage Encode Plus smart lock could be the first to support Apple Home Key, according to various leaked documents. And, in another “first,” the smart lock looks likely to offer Thread support for HomeKit.
OK, so no 2021 award for Most Fastidious Cable Management, mentioned in this article’s headline, exists — at least not around here. But if it did, we might hand it to the person behind today’s setup. It centers on a 2020 13-inch MacBook Pro and a 32-inch LG 4K display. And it keeps cable clutter to an extreme minimum.
