Apple Watch Series 7 might offer larger screen sizes

It's a slightly sketchy rumor, but it jibes with other info that's already leaked out: the Apple Watch is getting bigger screen sizes for the first time. But will our old bands still fit?

In other news:

  • New MacBook Pros are coming and for the first time, the smaller model will be as fast as its bigger sibling. But there's a catch.

  • If you have an iPhone 12 with 5G, there's one carrier that stands head and shoulders above the rest for download speeds, but it's probably not the one you're thinking of.

  • We review a leather Apple Watch band from Monowear that's a surefire winner.

  • And check out Nomad's new leather 'skin' for iPhone that protects the back with a thin layer of cowhide. It looks great, IMO.

The rumored Apple Watch Series 7 redesign will include slightly larger screens, according to an unconfirmed report. This fits with earlier leaks that the upcoming wearables will have smaller bezels.

The next-generation 14-inch MacBook Pro will be near identical to the 16-inch model that launches alongside it in terms of performance, according to one tipster.

T-Mobile is the carrier to go to for the fastest 5G speeds. A cross-country study of cellular data by PCMag found that AT&T and Verizon couldn’t match their rival’s average download speed. Not even close.

Monowear's Contemporary Leather Cuff is so good, it might just be my favorite Apple Watch band to date.

Apple Maps now lets users in the United States give a thumbs up to businesses. They can also submit a photo. The Ratings and Photo feature has been around for a while, but is just now expanding to the U.S.

The iPhone 13 will have a much larger camera hump, according to what’s supposedly a case for the handset that leaked out early. The case also shows that the next iOS device wil be slightly thicker, with a smaller notch and relocated buttons.

T-Mobile is offering it customers a full year of Apple TV+ for free. The deal on Apple’s streaming service is available to anyone in Magenta or Magenta Max plans.

If you don’t like smartphone cases but refuse to let their iPhone 12 go naked, Nomad has you covered. It just rolled out its stylish Leather Skins and tempered glass screen protectors for the iPhone 12 series.
