Apple VR/AR headset ahoy!

It'll likely debut at WWDC23 in June.

.

Even though I currently have almost zero interest in VR/AR headsets, I’m quite excited to see Apple’s entrance into the market, now tipped to be unveiled at WWDC23 in June. See our top post.

I’m not very excited about the prospect of strapping a bulky headset to my noggin, and what little experience I have of VR/AR headsets has been underwhelming.

But after more than 40 years following Apple, I trust the company’s designers and engineers have come up with something worthy.

After all, Tim Cook has described VR/AR as ‘profound’ and that people will soon look back and wonder how they lived without it.

“You'll wonder how you led your life without augmented reality,” he said last fall. “Just like today, we wonder, how did people like me grow up without the internet? And so I think it could be that profound.”

I can’t wait for WWDC to see what the fuss is about.

One more thing...

I get asked a lot why Apple's customers are so loyal. It's not because they belong to the Church of Mac! That's ridiculous. It's because when you buy our products, and three months later you get stuck on something, you quickly figure out [how to get past it]. And you think, 'Wow, someone over there at Apple actually thought of this!' And then three months later you try to do something you hadn't tried before, and it works, and you think 'Hey, they thought of that, too.' And then six months later it happens again. There's almost no product in the world that you have that experience with, but you have it with a Mac.
