Apple TV+ scores record Emmy noms

Plenty of Apple TV+ shows up for gongs

Apple TV+ continues to impress.

The upstart streaming service just earned an impressive 72 Emmy nominations.

When ranked by the number of Emmy nominations per platform, Apple TV+ is in the #4 position, trailing Netflix (107), FX (93) and HBO/Max (91).

The noms come for 16 different shows, including The Morning Show, Palm Royale, Lessons in Chemistry, Slow Horses, Loot, Hijack and more.

I’ve checked out perhaps half these shows. I hated some (Sugar), but loved others (Slow Horses — until it jumped the shark this last season).

Looking over this list on nominations, it looks like a good guide for shows to check out next.

One more thing ...

If [people] are working in an environment where excellence is expected, then they will do excellent work without anything but self-motivation. I'm talking about an environment in which excellence is noticed and respected and is in the culture. If you have that, you don't have to tell people to do excellent work. They understand it from their surroundings.
