Apple preps new class of Macs

Confused about which Mac to buy? Apple apparently plans to give you even more desktop options.

A new "Mac Studio" is reportedly in the works. But as 9to5Mac's headline says, "Is it the pro Mac mini or mini Mac Pro?"

We've been joking for months on our podcast, The CultCast, about what Apple will name a more-powerful Mac mini and how it will fit into the lineup. Maybe "Mac Studio" is the answer, and it will land in the desktop Goldilocks zone between the Mac mini and the Mac Pro.

Whatever the case, the new machine itself sounds like no joke. Same goes for the 7K "Apple Studio Display" that's supposedly in the pipeline as well.

All this and an Apple event coming next Tuesday? The tech news drought is over!

Then I read something that one of my heroes, Edwin Land of Polaroid, said about the importance of people who could stand at the intersection of humanities and sciences, and I decided that's what I wanted to do." -- Steve Jobs
