Apple offers free Pro Learning classes
I'd love to learn to code but I'm way too lazy.
That's why I'm going to sign up for a free class on Swift programming from Apple this summer.
At just two hours, I'm hoping the online course will show me some basics and help me decide whether to delve further.
If coding's not for you, Apple has 10 other topics to choose from in its Professional Learning series of online classes, and many of them look good.
It's low-key, low-risk and low-commitment -- right up my alley!

Apple trotted out a new list of free iPad-based virtual conferences this summer in its Professional Learning series. Topics cover subjects like photo storytelling, making music and learning the Swift programming language. And best of all, they’re free. All you need to participate, once you register, is an iPad.

With its iPod-style scroll wheel, the second-generation Siri Remote promised to make scrolling through content effortless. In reality, it's hard to use and lacks support from third-party apps. But don’t throw your remote at the TV just yet. When you get the hang of its quirks, the Siri Remote scroll wheel works surprisingly well with many apps.

No, we’re not saying you should send everyone jello shots beforehand. But you might try a sassy RGB microphone like the one in today’s featured MacBook Pro and Studio Display setup.

The Swift language has legit changed my life for the better! The ability to create so easily has helped me solve problems for my community while onboarding others to do the same. I genuinely love this community and I can’t wait to see what we build next! swift.org/blog/language-…

One more thing ...
"The only purpose for me in building a company is so that it can make products. Of course, building a very strong company and a foundation of talent and culture is essential over the long run to keep making great products. On the other hand, to me, the company is one of humanity's most amazing inventions. It's totally abstract. Sure, you have to build something with bricks and mortar to put the people in, but basically a company is this abstract construct we've invented, and it's incredibly powerful." -- Steve Jobs
