Apple News+ is an underrated gem.
It gets almost no love and almost no attention (until, ironically, this week, when the White House accused it of being full of lefty propaganda, possibly as payback for Apple sponsoring the Bad Bunny Super Bowl halftime show).
Bolshevik brainwashing aside, I’ve been reading Apple News+ a lot lately.
Mostly because it offers “free” access to a lot of news that’s paywalled, including stories from The Wall Street Journal (a well-known communist rag), The Washington Post (another loony left publication), The Times/Sunday Times (wait a sec, I’m seeing a pattern here), as well as genuinely left-of-center pubs like The Atlantic, The New Yorker and The Verge.
I say “free” because you need a subscription to read these outlets — but rather than paying individually, I gain access through Apple News+, which I get it as part of my Apple One subscription.
The Apple News+ app has a clean, easy-to-read design and is mercifully light on ads, pop-ups and other website horrors.
