Tim Cook is a progressive CEO who has done some remarkable things with green power, supply chain reforms and supporting a tech-jobs pipeline for underrepresented communities.

His supply chain reforms, for example, all but eliminated child labor and bonded labor practices in Apple's supply chain, indicating he has some sympathy for the little guy.

Cook is a blue-collar guy who received a state-school education and worked for a decade or more on the shop floor (in management), so I had the hope -- perhaps naive -- that he'd support unionization efforts at Apple.

Let's hope he comes around.
