Did Apple leak ‘Apple Pencil Pro’?
Looks like an official goof.
Maintaining surprise before an Apple event is priority No. 1 for Tim Cook and Apple’s marketing team. But every now and again, someone slips up.
That seems to be the case before tomorrow’s big event, with a key detail apparently leaking courtesy of Apple’s Japanese website.
Also in today’s newsletter:
A new MacBook with a big 20-inch folding screen could be released as early as next year.
That might be followed by a folding iPhone in 2026. I’m looking forward to both.
Pick up an iPhone charging stand with a built-in portable battery while you still can. The 60% off sale ends this week.
We hands-on review the GPX Capture 7-inch Wi-Fi Photo Frame, which might make a great gift for mom this coming Mother’s Day.
Today’s the day in Apple history that Cupertino released perhaps the most important product in the company’s entire history: the translucent Bondi Blue iMac G3, which changed everything.
For a surprise, go to Apple.com and move your cursor over the Apple event logo. It’s another not-at-all-subtle hint about what to expect tomorrow. I’ve never seen Apple sprinkle so many clues.

I wonder if the typeface on the new Pride watch face for Apple Watch is a modification of San Francisio Round (most likely) or a different typeface (a new city codename?). It doesn't look like the Numeral watch face typeface (codename: Tokyo).

This is a great idea.
Doing 20 pushups to unlock more screentime on social media.
Everyone would be ripped in 3 months.

One more thing ...
When I got started I was 20 or 21, and my role models were the semiconductor guys like Robert Noyce and Andy Grove of Intel, and of course Bill Hewlett and David Packard. They were out not so much to make money as to change the world and to build companies that could keep growing and changing. They left incredible legacies….
The rewarding thing isn't merely to start a company or to take it public. It's like when you're a parent. Although the birth experience is a miracle, what's truly rewarding is living with your child and helping him grow up.
